2nd & 4th days of CNY

4th day of CNY - happened to be my hb's birthday. I got him a birthday pressie earlier that week already. But today we planned a surprise for him at his 2nd uncle's house. I asked SIL to help me get a cake prior to the dinner and we celebrated with the rest of the relatives.

It was the most boring 1st day of CNY ever - no one to visit and we only went to my parent's place in the morning followed by visitng the temple as usual. After that we head home for a nap and only hb's brother came over. ZZzzzz...

this Lilac number was a very last minute job- a huge bubble hem halter dress. bought the rosette band for sometime already, it was from a shop in chinatown. Love the Shantung silk on a girl for a change.

After resting we decided to go to the night Safari since the kiddos are not required to sleep early :)  and followed by a prata session at Casuarina's - my fav paper prata, so crispy and original.

Back!

We are back ! finally after an 8-days trip...draining every bit of my energy lugging the kiddos, stroller, shopping bags and luggages from hotels to hotels..
I am still coughing and having a bit of sore throat since the beginning of the trip. The harsh winter made things worse, the forever kimchis and hot pots, ginseng chicken...aww..

I only managed to upload the photos taken from the trip in Facebook over 2 days. I will post up more details of our holidays soon. right now its back to my sewing table and rushing for the Xmas.

Wedding Dinner at Shangri-la

please bare with me, photos all not in sequence..anyway..we attended a nice wedding banquet and it has been a while since i last atttended a wedding dinner. It was held in Shangri-la, food and ambience was good.

I am most proud of the dress I made for Mischa. Ya, i didn't make anything for Favian cos was too tied up and I reckon boys...hiaz..nothing much i can do except perhaps a tux or something along that line...well. when i am not so tied up perhaps i will.

Here's the dress I made for my girl.

Some shots taken during the wedding banquet

Day out and Javier's 1st big bash!

Whoa what a day! - A super tiring one. I started the day bringing Mischa to her piano lesson all by myself. It's been a while since I took a bus and fumbling with a kiddo, no easy feat.
Hubby's busy today and couldn't make it in time to send us there. It was fun taking the bus with Mischa and she was pretty well-behaved throughout the journey (just 10min anyway) and through the music class too.
Mischa enjoyed her class and am happy that she has an interest in music as well. :)

that's her with her big smile in the morning!
while waiting for the bus..

After the class we waited for hubby and we attended little Javier's birthday party at Kidzamaze..its really amazing...love the place. the play unit's so huge and spacious. Favian and mischa had a ball of their time there! Too bad it's in Jurong, otherwise we could go there more often.

At the party with Shirley , and the Tee i made for Lil Javier. Hope he likes it!

After the party my 2 cranky babes asked for Sashimi so we proceeded to the jap restaurant just downstairs for a quick bite - of sashimi....they really know how to enjoy life(s) !

Our long and tiring day ended with a big feast by the sea at PAsir Ris Park to celebrate my mum's birthday - I actually forgotten the name of the seafood stall..anyway food was good. Too good that we forgotten to take pictures of the dishes except for this pepper and chilli crabs...yum....and also forgotten to take family pics...aww....!

Catching up..on my life so far

Some major changes took pl;ace while i was away from blogging. Now I m just trying to catch up and put the pieces back into my blog since my absence.
Sometimes life is just so unpredictable. You lose something, but you gain something back and sometimes much much better.

Hubby and I made a decision to end our Interior Design business this year. We couldn't depend on it to survive anymore. But most importantly. we both realised that our passion were no longer in ID. So, we had to let go and explore other opportunities.

Hubs went into property full time and I can only say that he finally found his 2nd forte! LOL. Life's been good and smooth sailing for him and of course our family.
And so for myself....while staying at my mum's place, I couldnt continue with my hairclips business and I just had to do something I wanted for so long.
I invested in an embroidery machine, started exploring customised kids apparels with monogramming and appliques.
I also started sewing some simple dresses for Mischa and am so glad that I received lotsa good comments on it and so finally my little passion turned into a little business I m so proud of today.

I realised that i didn't blog about my new business at all till now...  It's always been a dream n passion to create apparels. I almost went into fashion designing before I chose Interior Designing. So this was like a huge opportunity to try carving out this career before I turn too old and live in regrets.

Japan Day 7 - Tokyo & back home!

Sigh...we only had 7days to spare for this trip and yes, we are heading back home today! Initially we planned to make a trip to Odaiba before we check in at the airport for our 7pm flight home.
But because we needed to get some gifts for our family and were afraid that we wont be able to be back to hotel in time, we decided to just hang around Shinjuku area for some frenzy last minute shopping.

and so we were busy shopping, we didn't have much time to whip out the camera till we settled for lunch in a somewhat 'nostalgic' street - Shomben Yokocho for some cold ramen.

After that we headed back to the hotel to retrieve our luggage and took the airport limousine bus to Narita Airport.
Sad to say goodbye, but I am sure I will be back to Japan someday!
