Birthday Celebration in School
Today is Favian's actual birthday. We brought a small Thomas & Friends cake to his school at Treasure Box and celebrated with his friends in the school. According to the teachers, Favian is quite well-behave and popular in class - cos he is the only Prince in the class! He is surrounded by all his female classmates everyday :)

GODMA calls him 'Xiao Pang'
Nowadays i like to make comparisons with the photos taken before and recently to see how much Favian has grown.
After he started his half day routine at the Treasure Box childcare at Pasir Ris Park, he was finally toilet trained. Best of all he could sit through a meal properly unlike 1 yr ago when he refused to finish his lunch/ dinner and only depended on milk.
Last night I found some photos taken a year ago during the Mid Autumn festival and compared to the one taken almost a year later (Sep 2007). Look how much weight he had put on since and his Godma now calls him 'Xiao Pang'.

My Cutie Boy
Favian is turning 4 years old soon! We are going to hold a mini birthday celebration this year for him as mummy is too big and clumsy to move around much these days. Thus a simple fare should be good enough.
Looking back at his photos since the 1st day in the ward there were lots of fond memories. This morning I woke up and saw him cuddled in the warm comforter with just his head sticking out, it instantly reminded me of a similar 'pose' he was in when he was 1 day old. I quickly took a snap of it and made a comparison of the 2 photos.
How cutie! The same face profile, the same side-burn, the neck and jawline....

How I wish he will not grow up so fast! Really love my little darling to bits!

Our 5th Anniversary
Mood: Romantic
Today marks the 5th year of our marriage - the day we ROMed 5 years ago. How time flies! Hubby and myself are together for 10 years since courtship days.
I knew hubby planned something for our special day a few days ago, but I didn't know the details as I was not supposed to. This is the first time he did the planning as in the past it was always me thinking where to go & making the reservations. So this time I decided to let him do the legwork and crack his brain for me.
It came as a surprise to me when we reached Clarke Quay and hubby held my hands and walked into this posh and elegant looking restaurant reception - AURUM. We walked past this restaurant many times before whenever we were at Clarke Quay. I remembered the huge chandelier at the foyer and commented that one day I would like to have my dinner there. Could it be that hubby got my hint ? :)

The stairs next to the chandelier led us to the main restaurant floor which features a see-thru kitchen where we can see the chef at work- Edward Voon was the executive chef. He even walked to us and had a chat when we finished our last course of dessert. Overall it was romantic setting with subtle candlight and the food were of fusion concept.
I was too overwhelmed by the entire setting and surprise that hubby had planned for me that we began tucking in when the appetisers were served and forgotten to take a snap of them. Hubby had a Salad of Alaska King Crab and mine was a Beef and Potato kind of compote.
Here's a snapshot of the salad (taken from website)

The second course of soup was my favourite dish. Hubby had a thick Lobster Bisque with dehydrated Cranberries. Mine is a Tempura Prawn with Shitake thick broth. The highlight of it was the golden powder which made the soup looked shimmery. The waitress even squirted some 'liquid soba' into the soup and it became noodles instantly. How amazing!

Hubby had Slow Cooked Abalone with Pearls for the main course and mine was Tuna Belly with Scallop. Both were yummy and surprising quite filling to the stomach.

Finally the dessert hubby had Strawberries Cilantro and Balsamic. Its was sweet and sour blend of strawberries in various forms. I had a Chocolate Nitro for my dessert. It's so interesting to see the chef prepare the white chocolate. He actually squeezed the creamy white chocolate into the liquid nitrogen and freeze it to become a somewhat ice-cream ball! This was specially chosen by hubby as he knows that I love brownies.

It was a sumptuous dinner and an eye-opener overall.
Total damage : S$280.00! But it was worth it. Will be back for more in time to come!

Hot hot day
Mood: Lethargic
The scorching hot weather these fews days are driving me nuts! Especially since I am pregnant now, its like a hot furnace within me... bad weather = bad mood. I cannot even sit through my TV session without the fan blowing directly at me. Some say cool stuff are a 'no-no' during pregnancy, but I cannot be bothered anymore. I believe the heat within me can still take the cold and will spare my baby - I don't want to die of heat stroke.
Finally I am able to concentrate on my knitting since these few days I have the mood for some quiet times (cos i dun feel like moving about) , thanks to the weather.
My tummy is getting heavier, popping day is near and I still have a lot of uncompleted projects waiting for me to complete before I am due. will post update in my next blog post.

Bloom Shots
Thurday, October 4 ,2007
Mood: Excited
Today hubby, Favian and myself went for our Bloom Shots at Studio Loft. I had wanted to do this kind of shots since I had Favian 4 years ago. But my thought was it could be a waste of money and I thought I could take simple shots of my tummy myself (hubby as cameraman of course).
Only this time the trend is getting more popular for MTBs to take preggy shots. Since this will be my last ' planned' pregnancy, hubby agreed that I should take the bloom shots for keepsake. Preparation for the shots were not tedious at all, but I was so 'kiasu' and lugged 2 bags full of clothes since we are given unlimited change of clothes for the photoshoot. the nice part about this photoshoot was that Hubby and Favian were included in some of the shots without extra charges. Overall it was a fun experience and I can say Favian can really pose quite well. If photos turnout is nice, I will bring him for his Little Big Shots.
I took the courage and took 3 kinds of nude shots (or u can call it semi-nude since the vital parts are not exposed, BUT I was indeed nude during the shoot) Heehee...one of the shots look something like this (BUT this is not me la, just an example) :

P.S: Will post update of the shots I took cos will take a month's time for the photos to be ready! Yippee!
