Mischa's First Day of 'School'
This is a wayyyyyy back dated post. I suddenly realised that I have not recorded this very important event of Mischa's life!
First day at 'school'.
Well, mummy Grace and myself enrolled our girls in this TRIO programme - supposedly similar to the Shicida Method. I went to see what Shicida has to offer (with Grace and Desiree) and I admit that I was convinced to let Mischa try out the class. However Desiree recommended us to take the trial with TRIO to see if we like it since Shicida's next intake will be in July.
The trial classes at TRIO covers 3 sessions conducted seperately in English, Mandarin and Japanese.
Ok , I didnt take any pictures until the end of the lesson when we put 2 little cuties-Mischa and Ashlyn on the mattress while me and mummy Grace went to relieve ourselves after a long tiring session.

After the class, Grace and I went for some shopping at BHG Bugis Junction and we bought the Hello Kitty Combi training cup we wanted for a long time. Since there was a sale going on, we were both too tempted to buy.
These are my loots for the day :

Weekend 'Get-away'
Hubby had wanted to bring us to this 'swamp walk' at Pasir Ris park for ages. and last weekend we finally had the chance to go. Lil' Mischa was rather well bahaved throughout and Favian was very excited the whole trip. I feel like I was in excursion back in the school days. The 'man' and the boy played a bit of soccer on the grass patch while I nursed Mischa and had some snacks on a nearby bench. Its such a rare occasion we can do this as a family and its really a good break away from the noisy and overcrowded mall in town.

After that we proceeded to Downeast for dinner and we settled easily at Sakae Sushi. There was a wonderland train ride and Favian had a go with it as the train captain.

Favian had his hands on painting Winnie the Pooh clay figurine as we still had plenty of time while waiting for my mum. He could paint quite well, but of course hubby and myself helped him too. Daddy helped him to write his name onto Pooh's shirt, i think its cute!

Bows galore!
Ok this is another of my online purchase getting out of hand. I chanced upon this site one night while surfing the web randomly for some hair accessories for lil' Mischa. The bows are handmade in USA, with colours for us to choose from as they are all customised.
Well, they are not exactly cheap, but the bows are really nice and well made. The local choices were too boring and prices were not worth paying for. So I started this Overseas spree in the SMH motherhood forum and it was a hit! I got some mummies to pool together our purchases so that we can share the shipping cost.

Some of my favourites...

After my first spree, a few mummies follow suit and held various sprees too. Hmm...monkey see monkey do ! hahaa...but i am happy with my loot and now already doing Spree #4! Gosh i simply love these bows to death and I realised that these bows are too much for Mischa's usage, so I tot of using it for myself too...i planted those Bows on my Croc-kies....aren't they KAWAII????

Today I tried making some bows myself, and they are quite easy infact...ooppsss! Speaking about making handicrafts, my fingers are itching again...

Have requested Shirley (my good friend) to send me this pic which i saw in her MSN thumbnail.

Hooter Hiders
This is the nursing covers (or u can call it nursing bibs) I have been eyeing since I was preggy with Mischa.

But it was so expensive and I didnt know if I could BF for long this time. I used to make do with my shawl as a cover up when I BF Mischa. But as she gets bigger by the day, it gets more and more tricky to keep her inside the shawl as well as maintain my modesty. So I went in search for some nice and affordable nursing covers.
I bought the Busy baby wrap from a recent overseas spree, but I didnt really like it as the material is quite thick and gets quite warm if I nurse outdoors. So I decided to bring in the Hooter hiders (bebe au lait) covers for myself as well as do a BP on it. I couldnt resist the pretty prints and now I cant even count how many covers I have....
Initially I tot they really look like aprons...but after I tried it on, its really cooling and I like the rigid neckline whereby i can see Mischa while I latch her. You will understand what I mean if you BF too :)

Lovely fabrics
Oh finally received the fabrics that I bought online from US sites recently! I simply love them so much! they are all so pretty and are of good quality USA designers fabric. What I like about buying fabric online is the min.qty I can purchase. Places like Spotlight sell fabrics by yards and the min. purchase is at least half a yard and the designs / quality are just so-so. The fabric pack I like most is the 'A Surprise In My Mailbox- Scrap pack of designer fabrics' whereby the seller actually sell fabrics scrapes! The package consists of 10-15 different fabrics (depending on weight) of beautiful Amy Butler, Joel Dewberry, Anna Maria, or Heather Bailey fabrics.

Its good for me cos my works only require small little patches here and there. so with the same price, I can have many different types of fabric choice....hohoho....
the other pile are Heather Baileys designed fabrics....very nice.

I plan to make some appliques for Mischa's clothes and also some security blankets...will put up pics of them once they are completed!

The Singapore Flyer
No we didnt take the ride as we plan to take one together with my parents, bro, my MIL, BIL and SIL. Why so many people? Well, because it is expensive - adult:$29 child 3-12: S$20 (i think) We intend to make this a 'family' trip so that we don't have to keep going back bringing my parents and my MIL on a seperate trip. That will cost us alot of monies...
So this time we just took some pics and walked around the Yakult Garden scape.

Baby Swimming
After hearing all the rave about infant swimming at the Hua Xia International , I wanted to make a trip there to see what the rave is all about. Today Hubby and I brought little Mischa have a swim and this is a video clip of Mischa swimming after a light warmup session by the staff.
I have always heard sayings that babies are born swimmers and I never really took this seriously as I thought at the most they will be keeping themselves afloat, tat's all. But looking at the way Mischa kick and move her limbs in the water really amazed me....
