Prawning at Pasir ris

Is it prawn-fishing or prawning? Anyway it's not important... What's important is that we had fun! It's highly addictive though... Haha. We were there on Fri night with my MIL and the kiddos.. Only caught 4 pathetic prawns after 2 hours!! Or do they call it the yabbies? I seriously cannot differentiate them yet.
And so we left the kiddos overnight at my parents' on sat night and went for prawning again! This time just Hubby and I without any noise and stress from bringing the kids with us.
Guess what? We managed to fish 18 prawns this time within 13hrs!! Haha... And only 2 were caught by Hubby..... Hiak hiak..
I tell you, the feeling is so shiok!!

And this was on Saturday...

Hubby broke off the pincers if this poor prawn cos it was getting in the way when he was pulling out the hook.

This big king won me $2!

Haha our loots for the night. 10pm - 1am.....

And so we cooked it with butter and garlic... Yumzzzz

Happiness is...

HAPPINESS is....
Looking at my fabric stash
Sipping a cup of my favorite coffee
Catching my favorite TV serial
Looking at my 2 monsters playing together
Seeing my bag collection grow
Letting my creative juices flow....

I was telling Hubby how I missed those days when we were running our ID projects and me in charge of space planning and design while he ran the jobsites. I realized I still had alot of passion in this field of not because of the downside of this trade, I would still very much like to be in it.

The part I love most about Interior designing is the space planning. Without good space planning, an interior will not be functional nomatter how pretty the setup is. I love my new place mainly because I designed it solely and the drastic layout changes that I did. I love being at home lazing around and doing nothing.

A friend of mine recently resigned from her job and was looking into doing a small business with me. We thought of doing a collaboration with my children's wear biosphere but I'm really not sure how we can work on this...
Was thinking about exploring ID again with her since we were both from the se industry. I really have the urge to do this again, but yet not ready to give up my clothing business totally..
I think I have found my happiness and passion in design. That is why I feel hard to let go and still missing Interior designing.
I really need to ponder hard and hopefully someone can show me the way....

This is simple happiness to me....

Today at Vivo & my romantic guy

Went to peddar red for the Melissa shoes' sale but yucks!! Nothing caught my eyes n so I headed to bakerzin for lunch with my brother and Amran.
This was my outfit today, no frills aka boring but the red pumps never fail to add oomph to my boring getup.

Favian was running a fever before school and we let him skip school for a day. He had a throat infection and was feeling so lethargic the entire afternoon.
After drinking some brewed herbal tea, he seemed much better. This boy is my forever love even though I am sometimes very stern with him, but that's only for his own good. He is kinda laid-back like his daddy, and I'm just the opposite. I cannot stand 'time-waster' and want to get errands or tasks done asap.
However Favian does have a very sweet side of him. I think he will grow up to be a real gentleman and a doting husband.. How lucky will the girl be? I can't help but wonder...:)
And he made this for Mischa and me :)

Wallet on chain craze

I'm really loving my wallet on chain which I bought recently. I didn't regret abit and love it more than I thought I actually would.
It's really a good size for carrying the minimum items with me. And of course the many ways of carrying the purse makes it value for money
Just wanna share a few designs that caught my eyes and some I'll love to add them to my collection....

Embossed Camellia in coral

Peacock blue Sevruga

Classic CC woc in patent calf

Brilliant patent woc in red

Classic CC quilted cavier

Eye candies....

This has got to be my fav black woc in reissue distressed calf with gold tone hardware, very well sort after and rare!

Limited edition reptile woc in metallic

Bubblegum pink from the Cruise collection 2011

Love this rich blue half moon in washed cavier, it was from the Paris-Shanghai collection

An older version of the Brilliant Red quilted patent woc

The domestic goddess

I'm officially 'maidless' from now on. Just sent the maid back to the agent and I may not have a maid for good.
I don't know the future, but I'm enjoying the new found freedom at this moment. I might get a partimer to help out if I really
Cannot cope. At least I dun have to scream my lungs out, supervise her when I already hv tons of work to do and waking up to a sulky face every morning.
I've been putting up this sour-plumed face for sometime. A stubborn bull with an attitude! The last straw came when she deliberately disobeyed me when I told her not to give Mischa water at the play area since the kitchen set is battery operated. She turned a deaf ear to my words and when I questioned her she gave me a diva attitude

So I got her packing this noon and I'm now officially the domestic goddess :)

Steamboat gathering

On friday we had a little steamboat gathering with Chelsea, Alan, Joyce and Bernard. I made the laksa gravy from ready-made paste with some special recipe. It was a nice change from the common tomyam steamboat. something spicy with kick , nice and thick :)

Lousy customer service

I need to rant! Just encountered horrible service and phone etiquette from the staffs at Best Denki (s) . Prural cos i called a few branches and i get the same kind of treatment from the staffs there...i guess it really shows the services of Best Denki, at least over the phone.

I have been doing a sort of spring cleaning of my closet and throwing out or selling things either I do not see myself using anymore I have repeated versions of them..remember I'm a shopping queen?

So I have given up on baking (i reckon it's cheaper and nicer to buy cakes/ pastries from bakeries) thus selling away my trusty KENWOOD mixer. And hair straightener that I realised I have 3 different versions of!
And so i called up Best Denki to check on the price of those items so that I can price my items for sale at a reasonable rate cos i have totally forgotten how much I paid for them.
It's just a simple request to speak to the sales rep, or just to get someone to check the prices for me. But i my call was being transferred to a 2nd party, then to the 3rd. And each time I had to repeat what my purpose was as the person who transferred the call simply just put me on hold and didn't help to convey the message. The last straw came when the 4th person who picked up the phone asked me what I was requesting for. this time I literally screamed at her. Just too bad for her, but i was really frustrated with the previous SAs who picked up my call and I had to repeat my request over and over again.
Am I expecting too much from these SAs? I feel that the person who answers the call is as equally important as those front liners. And it speaks alot of your corporate image and your brand. In terms of services and conversational etiquette, I really think that Singapore is losing behind by a big chunk compared to many countries.

another experience I had was in the Chanel boutique just recently. I was with a friend looking at earrings and there wasn't anyone available cos the boutique was packed like Chanel was having a sale! Nope, there wasn't a sale going on.
And so we managed to get hold of a SA who was almost done with a customer and we told her that we would like to get some earrings. So she said that she will attend to us in a minute while she disappeared into the store for god knows what reasons.

After a good 5min, we were still waiting for her at the counter waiting for her 'grand appearance'. As the earrings counter was hidden behind a full height shelf, we had to walk out to actually see her. And to my dismay, she was attending to a group of China tourist looking at bags! Me and my friends were furious and complained to another SA that her colleague was supposed to be attending to us first!
Fuming mad, we went out of the boutique and sweared never to buy from this SA ever with such poor customer service. Next time when I go into the boutique, I MUST check out her name and post it here or in the forum!

Red!! Came late for CNY but still in time for Valentines :P

My 1st pair of Ferragamos. My friend Elaine (Swee) told me that once I start, there will be no turning back. Let's hope its not true...But i simply love this red against the gold buckle. they are super comfy..... I bought the shoes hoping that they will match with my new Chanel half moon.
Red Half moon WOC in Red coated calf 2011 collection. this and my Ferragamos are not an exact tone of red, but they do compliment each other. I knew I must have it when I first saw this through the TPF forum. I love it even more after I have seen it in real life. You can actuallly wear it in a few ways: cross-body sling, long chain side sling, double chain sling, handbag and a hand clutch.

Elaine (Chua) babe, yeah I brought them out for a spin already!!! Hopefully I can Huat ah!!!
Hahaha I know I'm obsessed, but i just love the oohhlala reds placed together! If only the Red purse is in Gold hardware...arrhhh....
