Of colours, beads, pearls and feathers

While I was digging through my collection of my crystal beads and pearls  the other day for the bag charm on my handmade tote, I recalled the period when I was so into costume jewellery and beading. I had tons of books on it and boxes and boxes of beads, crystals and findings that I never got a chance to use. Thought of searching through Etsy for the current trends on handcrafted CJs and found these:

They are mainly bangles and I love the vibrant colours that were used. I wanted to go  back into making CJs but it'salways such a hassle to store the tools and findings properly as I need a permanant work area for this hobby. I am stil so much in love with all the Swarovski beads and pearls that I think I should find  someday to make some CJs again just for the kick!

the following are some hairpieces I love. I have always envied girls with very nice curls, well-shaped heads and hairstyles who can carry off these hairpieces. They are so chic and definately make heads turn. Though I don't really seem many people donning such hairpieces, but I can 'smell' the trend picking up. Perhaps it's always the case in Singapore. Perhaps of our weather? But if I have a nice shape for my head, I will definately make some for myself. For now, I can only admire and make them for sale in my E-store and on FB (which I already did for some little girls to match with the gowns I made :P and they were very pleased with it!)

Can't get my butt off the couch!

It seems like I become lazier after my trip to Korea. Talking about the trip...I have yet uploaded pics and updated about the trip..haha just plain lazy!
I have been a bit of a couch potato these days watching endless drama serials on MIO and just lazing around on my couch surfing the net for fabulous finds. EBAY has taken over ETSY and I have further justified my purchase of the Ipad, its so handy and convenient. I even bring it with me for my toilet break!
I'm just gonna rest for a day today and get my butt moving and start working on my orders tomorrow. CNY is drawing near (4-5 weeks isn't a long time), I have to clear my orders within the next 2-3 weeks for sure, by hook or by crook so that I can start on Mischa's dresses and preparing stuffs for the new year. Frankly, I m so not looking forward to CNY. All the fuss and hassle for god-knows-what reasons. Just because we are CHinese? CNY has become more and more meaningless as age catches up.

That reminds me that i will also need to find some time to sort out the photos from the recent Korea trip as well as the Japan trip from last year. Yes, you read it right...last year. I was supposed to compile them into a coffee table book for memories' sake! I think I have become a bit of a  procrastinator more and more.

That's my girl for you

Mischa loves music, dancing especially ballet. She will groove to the music whenever there is one playing. And she changed herself into this ballerina dress I bought from Chinatown, took out her toy violin and played this music. It was amusing when she showed me, so I asked her to dance again while I shot a video of her. All the dance moves were choreographed by herself.

It's a Joyous Xmas, hohoho!!!

This year's Xmas was busier than the year before. It was fun catching up with friends (too bad Joyce wasn't in town) and the whole load of food and fun we had! We kickstarted Xmas celebration on Xmas Eve at Chelsea's new abode. We designed her place but her little knick knacks and collections added a warm touch to their home. It was a cosy and fun night with the girls and our hubbies.

Cutie Giselle and Mischa

On Xmas Day we had a little lunch meetup with Christina - my kiddos's godma. It was nice of her to get really nice pressies for the kiddos and I made her a tote with lotsa love. Hope she likes it.

Made myself a bag for to match my black lacey dress. Love the DIY swarovski crystals and pearls  bag charm!

AFter lunch we shopped a bit at Takashimaya and headed home for a short nap before my parents, bro and Amran came to join us for a BBQ dinner. Its been a while since we did BBQ at home, it was fun and cosy to have family gathering on this day.

The Macdonalds twins. Playing a game of HEADBANDZ. A game that never fail to amuse everyone...laughed so hard that I m having a bit of a sore throat now.

Mum joining in the fun too...
