Another year older for me

I'm officially another year older - okay, I'm 31 this year :(  But I'm really happy and enjoying being in the 30's. I feel much more mature in handling issues that come to me. And age does help one to get things done - the fact that I actually look older than i really am :(

Alright, hubby and I had a simple but quiet dinner at Clarke Quay without the kiddos - thanks to my parents for helping to babysit them for a while. We actually had dinner prior to this, hence we only ordered a mix grill platter and some drinks. Though it was only a short 2 hrs getaway from the kiddos, it was really nice to spend soome time as a couple.

@ Shiraz and this was a recommended twin set platter of different types of kebabs. I like the flavourful meat. But the mutton was kinda too strong for me - couldn't swallow without chewing it together with the basil leaves and lemon juice.

Not a bad ambience and once a while the belly dancer will come out for a dance or two to attract customers into the restaurant

It's a Joyous Xmas, hohoho!!!

This year's Xmas was busier than the year before. It was fun catching up with friends (too bad Joyce wasn't in town) and the whole load of food and fun we had! We kickstarted Xmas celebration on Xmas Eve at Chelsea's new abode. We designed her place but her little knick knacks and collections added a warm touch to their home. It was a cosy and fun night with the girls and our hubbies.

Taryn brought some Xmas goodies

Hubby was Chef teo #2 for the night. Whipping up his infamous Orh Luak!

Favian watching in anticipation as it was his favourite dish!

The most popular dish of the night. Teppan beansprouts. But our 'lovely' host Chelsea didnt buy enough of those and we complained big time!

Cutie Giselle and Mischa

On Xmas Day we had a little lunch meetup with Christina - my kiddos's godma. It was nice of her to get really nice pressies for the kiddos and I made her a tote with lotsa love. Hope she likes it.

Made myself a bag for to match my black lacey dress. Love the DIY swarovski crystals and pearls  bag charm!

AFter lunch we shopped a bit at Takashimaya and headed home for a short nap before my parents, bro and Amran came to join us for a BBQ dinner. Its been a while since we did BBQ at home, it was fun and cosy to have family gathering on this day.

Thumbs up!

Last Sunday hubby and I whipped up a good spread for my good pal cum kiddos' Godma Christina and also to celebrate the Lantern Mooncake festival.

Hubby made Oyster Egg for us, super yummy....minus the lard! It's a healthy version hehehe...but i forgot to take pics of it!

I cooked these:
My fav Sweet & Sour Pork - yummy yummy!

And this - Chicken Gizzards (or what do u call this?)
Love the crunchiness and the gravy goes so well with steam rice

And the 'highlight' of the night was Black Pepper Crabs - by my hubby! Wow it was his first attempt at it and I really give him the thumbsup! I can dare to say that it tasted much much better than the acclaimed famous Pepper crabs of some 'top notch' chinese restaurants. Love my hubby to bits!

After the dinner we went downstairs to the playground to light some lanterns, otherwise it just doesn't feel like the Lantern festival
