Picnic time

Recently hubby and myself like to spend our lazy Sunday afternoon at the Changi beach. We don't really swim in the sea, but hubby and I like to pack our lunch and some snacks, set up our hammock and laze away the day. We spend our time chatting, playing with Favian and sometimes we do a little BBQ. It's a great way to get away from the hustle and bustle, enjoying the breeze and spend quality family time together.

Learning to make a Pizza

(back dated post)

It was a trip conducted by Favian's childcare centre. It was an enriching trip to Pasta Mania kitchen and the kids sure had a lot of fun. They learnt to make pasta, pizza and their lunch was Spaghetti which Favian enjoyed a lot.

At the end of the session, they get to bring home a goody bag which includes a Pasta Mania T-shirt, a balloon and a Pizza. Mummy was overjoyed and immediately took the pizza to the microwave oven intending to heat it up. Luckily daddy came into the kitchen in time and showed me the label on the pizza box : 'NOT FOR CONSUMPTION'. hahahaha...so it was merely a hands-on project of Favian's, hence not fit for consumption. Well, all i could do was to take snapshots of it to keep as a memory...

Gosh, tat saved my day. Now i shall wait for the photos and get load them up real soon.

Grandma was hospitalised a few days ago, and her conditions are not that good now. In my heart I wish that she can recover soon.
Nothing much for me to do today, so i browsed through other mummies' blogs (these mummies are from the SMH forum) and came across this which touched my heart. You may not understand this until you become a mummy yourself.

You thanked her by crying all night long.

When you were 40, she called to remind you of a relative's birthday.
You thanked her by saying you were "really busy right now."

When you were 50, she fell ill and needed you to take care of her.
You thanked her by reading about the burden parents become to their children.

And then, one day, she quietly died.
And everything you never did came crashing down like thunder on your HEART.

** If she's still around, never forget to love her more than ever... And if she's not, remember her unconditional love and pass it on... Always remember to love thy mother, because you only have one mother in your lifetime!!!!

Where have all the photos gone?

Mood: Sad, bored

Today is a very moody day for me...i wanted to consolidate all the photos taken during Favian's birthday from 1st yr to 3rd birthday...but I seem to have LOST THEM! Gosh....imagine my frustration cos every of his birthday meant a lot to me. For his 1st Birthday, I actually designed a cake for him....it's made up of his name F-A-V-I-A-N. 2nd year's birthday was a combined celebration with Catherine's daughter, Claudia at the space below my flat. It was a simple affair but fun and the cake was a Minnie and Mickey hugging each other :) The saddest thing is I have also lost the photos for last year's celebration. Dad told me that the video tape was damaged, and I can't find the photos I have taken too!!! I spent a bomb on Favian's Thomas the Train birthday cake and took a whole lot of shots of the party. (we booked a chalet at Aranda Country Club and did decorations of the place)....Mummy is gonna break down soon...so sad that he can't have his birthday memories.....Hiaz.

After lunch I digged all my CD rom collections, hoping to find some backup disks of the photos..but to no avail.....JUS then....I logged in hubby's Yahoo Photo Album and found the photos for the combined birthday celebration with Claudia! Yippeee......at least for now I still have 1 birthday bash for Favian to remember! (see slide)
