Does she look like a boy?
Mischa has been mistaken for a baby boy for many occasions when we brought her out. I feel so sad and angry at the same time cos to me she does look like a girl especially with her thick lush hair. One occasion an old uncle even came up and asked me if Mischa was a boy? And you know what? She was wearing a hairband with 2 little flowers on it then! You can imagine my anger at that moment, but I forced a weak smile and told him, "no la, she's a girl, can't you tell?" and then i walked away.
So now I swear that I will definately put on a hairband or hairclip whenever I bring her out. I have also bought a really exaggerating looking hairband with an oversized flower on it. Let's see who will dare doubt her as a girl again. (notice her sad face? hahaha cos Mischa doesn't like to wear hairband)

Bumper Playmat
Finally the playmat has arrived! I was so eager to let Mischa and Favian try on it and kept snapping away. Its really of good quality and hubby almost fainted when I told him, how much I paid for it. Well, its pretty expensive for a pc of good rubber so to speak.
Honestly I never thought I would purchase it as Favian grew up without one. Poor fellow...he never had those luxury items before as we left him in my mum's care most of the time then so there were no need for those items. We used to have a set of ABC foam mat - cheap, but definately not good. It smelled so rubbery nomatter how many times I cleaned it. In the end we discarded the mat and never wanted to buy anymore playmats.
Hope Mischa will enjoy playing on it and I am trying to let her have more tummy time to strengthen her neck muscle.

Shopping in the forum
Eversince I started to join in the BPs since my pregancy days, I became kind of addicted to it and will check for good buys everyday. In the end I realise that I spend more money online then at shopping malls! However most of the things I bought are for Mischa and Favian, only occasionally for myself.
Like the other day I was browsing the WTS section of the forum and saw a mummy selling a Brand new Baby Bjorn Synergy which I wanted to get for a long time, but was not that 'silly' to pay the full price for it. To me it is considered brand new as the mummy has used it for only a day and realise that she prefers her Storkke pram. So here is her lost, my BIG gain.....
In fact some friends were telling me to consider the Ergo carrier which is more value for money since it can accommodate heavier babies and with Ergo, babies are actually 'sitting' and not hanging by the 'crotch'. Well...the vain me also considering the aesthetic factor and the choice is clear...
My Black Baby Bjorn Synergy carrier

The Ergo carrier

Now baby carriers look so cool that it is priced at $299 in retail shops! But of course I paid much lesser for it...hehehe...
P.S: My ideal carrier is suppose to be the white Synergy..hiaz,..but to be practical and since I am buying a 2nd hand one, I cant be too choosy :(
My dream Synergy

Back to shopping in the forum, I just ordered a bumper mat for Mischa. This is something I sweared not to buy as I felt it was redundant. Now...my views has changed....will be receiving it in a week's time...hopefully it is a good buy and not become another white elephant at home...
Will update more on that...

New Toys
I have always wanted to get some 'toy's to entertain Mischa as I am taking care of her most of the time now. After seeing Favian enjoying his Leapster L-Max from Leapfrog and find that it is very educational. I decided to get the Littletouch Leappad for Mischa since there was a sale going on. I got this through an overseas spree from fellow Nov mummy , Tinkabel quite a while ago, but I only started to try playing with it last week.
I guess Mischa is more or less ready since it is recommended for 3mths - 3yrs old. When i flipped the pages and played the narration, she was focusing on it.

I also bought an Infant to Toddler rocker chair for Mischa as she wants to be carried all the time. Even when I place her in her Combi highchair cum rocker, she refuse to sit in it for long. This rocker has a vibration mode to soothe baby. So far it works for her, at least she can sit by herself for a longer period and I can do my work or surf the web.

Recently have been occupied with Mischa and the never ending work at home. So on Valentine's Day I asked hubby for a gift which I had been eyeing for a while. He got me a PSP slim & lite after much consideration between this and the Nintendo Wii. I decided to get the PSP as I can bring it along car trips or when I am on the train. Cos i realised that I actually dun have much time or luxury at home to enjoy my the Nintendo Wii as I will be occupied by the 2 rascals. so in the end hubby will be the one enjoying the Wii. Since we have a X-box at home, so a PSP seems more logical.
